Lensbender.com is created and maintained by Michelle Poirier.

Lensbender originally started out as a photo gallery site, but has recently been transformed into an (almost) daily photo blog.

I've published various small web sites over the years, but only recently discovered photo-blogs. It started with one site referred to me by a friend which was full of links to other great sites and blog resources. I found so many interesting sites that I had to make a separate folder to hold all the bookmarks. I loved the connectedness of the community and knew immediately that I wanted to publish my work in blog format.

As a photo enthusiast my goal is to not only share photos with like-minded individuals, but to improve my technical ability and develop my style. I'm also looking forward to the added pressure of the daily blog to inspire me.

I wanted a customized layout so I chose moveable type. Getting it loaded on the server was easy, but the customizations were not (my basic html experience could only take me so far). There is a lack of online information for those who want to use MT for a photo blog, unless of course you're happy with the default templates. I had no "database" and very little "css" experience, so I literally hacked my way through it. There's still quite a bit I'd like to change, but hopefully the photos will make up for the lack of perfection.
